RuPaul finally reveals Drag Race All Stars’ gag-worthy ‘game within a game’ twist

Drag Race All Stars' 'game within a game' twist finally revealed

It’s been a bumper week for die-hard fans of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Just one day after a herstory-making UK cast reveal, the long-teased “game within a game” of Drag Race All Stars season six has finally been revealed in a new episode teaser.

Since the season began, eliminated queens have had their exits interrupted by a Jigsaw-like video of RuPaul teasing a huge twist. Now, in a snippet of the upcoming tenth episode, the game has been announced: it’s RuPaul’s Secret RuDemption Lip-Sync Smackdown!

After Eureka was eliminated in the ‘Drag Tots’ episode – after a Charli XCX lip-sync widely questioned by fans and queens alike  the four surviving queens, Trinity K Bonet, Kylie Sonique Love, Ra’Jah O’Hara and Ginger Minj, were all set to debrief and untuck as usual.

Their peace was interrupted by a truly gag-worthy twist, signalled as always by that pesky, signature siren. ‘Drag Tots’ winner Ra’Jah O’Hara’s reaction truly summed up our feelings: “Oh really, b***h?”

An ‘earth-shattering’ Drag Race All Stars lip-sync tournament was announced

Judge Carson Kressley popped up on the screen with a shock announcement set to change the course of this season. “Welcome to RuPaul’s Secret RuDemption Lip-Sync Smackdown,” he said, as the queens looked on in shock.

“A competition so secret, you had no clue it was even happening. A competition so Earth-shattering, its winner could knock you off your path to the Drag Race [All Stars] Hall of Fame!”

The shock twist allows eliminated queens – Serena ChaCha, Jiggly Caliente, Silky Nutmeg Ganache, Yara Sofia, Scarlet Envy, A’Keria C. Davenport, Jan, Pandora Boxx and Eureka – to battle against each other for a chance to regain a spot in the competition.

Fans were gagged by the long-awaited news, creating memes about the endless wait and the queens’ hilarious reactions.

UK fans can catch up on the action from today (Thursday, August 19) with the new episode of Drag Race All Stars available now on Netflix. It’s about to get sickening!
