Kristen Stewart gives epic response when asked if she’d play Joker to Robert Pattinson’s Batman
Kristen Stewart has addressed calls for her to a gender-bent Joker opposite Robert Pattinson’s Batman.
Stewart and Pattinson dated for about four years, on and off, after starring together in the Twilight series.
And with Pattison starring in the upcoming film The Batman as the caped crusader, a campaign has emerged for Stewart to play his nemesis, the Joker.
Stewart admitted she loved the “energy” behind the campaign but told Variety that she couldn’t see herself stepping into the role.
“It’s really been done so well,” Stewart said. “I feel like, maybe, we don’t traipse over, but I love that gusto.”
“[The Joker] has really been done so well.”
“Not by Kristen Stewart…”i love this dude 😂

However, she hinted that she hasn’t fully ruled out appearing in a DC movie.
Stewart said that it wasn’t a definitive “no” to the Joker, but she wasn’t the “most stoked I’ve ever been”.
Instead, she said, she’d be more interested in doing “something new”.
“Let’s figure something else out,” she said. “I’m totally down to play a freaky, scary person.”
DC dropped a new trailer for The Batman this week. Several legendary DC villains have been confirmed to appear in the film including the Penguin, the Riddler and Catwoman.
Some fans have theorised that the Joker could secretly be in the film – which led to the obvious question of who would play the high-profile role.
It wasn’t long before fans were clamouring for Kristen Stewart to play the Joker in the future.

Can I please get a single Batman run without the Joker in i–Kristen Stewart, the answer is Kristen Stewart. A genderless, unfiltered, super-sanity agent of chaos vs rage-filled disaster bisexual rock star with a death wish. Bring it, DC. https://t.co/HHUb2lZfye

The only answer I will accept is Kristen Stewart. https://t.co/Bb9jl3CuAZ— Jeremy Whitley @ Fayetteville Comic con (@jrome58) October 18, 2021
imho this is the one gender bending casting for Joker (besides Martha Wayne) that I’d be totally down for. Not only would Kristen make a great Joker, but the history between her and Pattinson would generate so much on-screen chemistry between the archenemies it’d be insane pic.twitter.com/kY087HPMDb

Fans also threw out their suggestions for other DC baddies that the actor could play. This included Duela Dent – who first appeared as Joker’s daughter but also used the alias of other villain’s daughters – and radio shock jock turned villain Livewire.
So why don’t we consider a Duela Dent appearance as an option? pic.twitter.com/eBbs4VZzW9

Maybe not as The Joker, but Duela Dent could be cool. pic.twitter.com/ep9GQVyGz4

What about her as Livewire in the next Suicide Squad movie(if there is one)? pic.twitter.com/tsTBy5ospp

OKAY BUT I think Kristen would play a really good batman villain. Since she obviously isn’t down for joker she could bring a new character to the scene, such as Punchline, Jokers Daughter, Ventriloquist, maybe a new Scarecrow take, there are literally so many!

Several actors have played the Joker over the years including Jack Nicholson, Jared Leto, Joaquin Phoenix and Heath Ledger. Star Wars icon Mark Hamill has voiced the arch-nemesis of Batman across several TV series, movies and video games over the past 30 years.
A female Joker would be an interesting direction for Warner Bros and DC to liven up the Batman film franchise, and there is precedence for this in the comics.
In the Flashpoint timeline, Martha Wayne became the Joker as a result of her and her husband Thomas surviving the fateful ambush which led to their death in other DC timelines. The fateful change results in her son Bruce (who is traditionally Batman) dying.
She is ultimately broken from her grief and adopts the identity of the Joker, and as a result, Thomas becomes Batman in an attempt to stop Martha from committing various crimes in Gotham.
Stewart will next be seen playing Diana, Princess of Wales, in Spencer.
