Madonna claps back at 50 Cent for ‘talking smack’ about defiant lingerie photoshoot
Madonna has slammed her once “friend” 50 Cent after he mocked gorgeous photos the singer posted of herself online.
Last week, the “Like a Virgin” hitmaker posted a series of photos on Instagram that showcased her posing bare-breasted in leather and fishnets in the bedroom. In one photo, Madonna was posed partially underneath a bed in fishnets and a stellar pair of heels.
Shortly after the photos went online, 50 Cent shared mocked the photo on his Instagram, suggesting she was too old to be posting the risqué photos. The “In da Club” rapper wrote that the image was the “funniest s**t” he’d seen as she was “trying to do like a virgin at 63”.
50 Cent also posted a photoshopped version of the shot, likening Madonna to the Wicked Witch of the East, and shared a photo of someone else recreating Madonna’s pose. He’s since deleted the posts.
Madonna called out the rapper for talking “smack about me” on her Instagram stories, sharing a photo of herself affectionately posing with 50 Cent from 2003 on her Instagram stories. She also called him out for “pretending to be my friend” before claiming his “new career” is to “humiliate” others online.
“I guess your new career is getting attention by trying to humiliate others on social media,” the singer wrote. “The least elevated choice you could make as an artist and an adult.”
She continued: “[You’re] just jealous you won’t look as good as me or have as much fun when you are my age! Too bad there are no sour grape emojees.”
50 Cent has since shared a simpering apology on Twitter. He wrote that he realised he “must have hurt Madonna’s feelings” after she “dug up” the “old MTV photo”, which she shared on her Instagram stories.
“Ok Im sorry i did not intend to hurt your feelings,” the rapper wrote. “I don’t benefit from this in anyway i sad what i thought when i saw the picture because of where i had seen it before i hope you accept my apology.”

As well as calling out the “Candy Shop” rapper, Madonna also posted clips on her stories where she shared a message of self-confidence to her followers.
The singer, using a Yoda filter, declared that she liked the “way I look” despite the fact “there are those that find it hard to appreciate people and things that are different”.
She continued: “And they try to shame me or humiliate me or make me feel less than because I am not like everyone else.
“But in fact, I cherish my uniqueness, and I’ve grown stronger because to be unique is to be rare.”
