Dancing with the Stars 2022 tour to feature same-sex routines after JoJo Siwa’s history-making run

The Dancing with the Stars live tour will feature same-sex dance routines for the first time ever.
The dance competition show made history in its 30th season last year when JoJo Siwa competed on the series alongside Jenna Johnson.
The same-sex duo made it all the way to the final, with Siwa saying the experience has helped her, “feel like I’m more confident” and “less scared of myself”.
The franchise shows no signs of slowing down, as the 2022 live tour will see male professionals, Gleb Savchenko and Alan Bersten perform a number together.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the pair revealed that they would be recreating one of Jenna and JoJo’s iconic numbers from the show.
Gleb confirms, “it’s actually a repeat of JoJo and Jenna’s number,” with Alan adding, “and JoJo I feel like, really broke the barriers of Dancing with the Stars”.
Professional dancer and JoJo’s partner, Jenna Johnson, isn’t appearing on the tour, but has shown up to rehearsals to help choreograph some numbers.
It’s more than likely that she’s given Alan and Gleb a few tips on their reprisal of her dance number from the show.

No, unfortunately the YouTuber and Nickelodeon star won’t be appearing on the live tour in 2022.
This is because she’s heading out on her own solo headline tour, with more than 30 arena dates planned across January and February. So if you’re a JoJo Siwa fan then you can catch her on the D.R.E.A.M. Tour with tickets available here.
Meanwhile, it’s been confirmed that season 29 and 30 champions, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Iman Shumpert will join selected dates on the Dancing with the Stars tour. While season 30 contestants, Jimmie Allen and Amanda Kloots will also make appearances across a number of dates.
The official tour website reads: “These fan favorites will be bringing their Mirrorball-worthy moves to a town near you.”
Plus it will also star professional dancers from the hit series including Brandon Armstrong, Alan Bersten, Artem Chigvintsev, Sasha Farber, Daniella Karagach, Pasha Pashkov, Gleb Savchenko, Emma Slater, Britt Stewart, Sofia Ghavami, and Koko Iwasaki.
