Jameela Jamil addresses fans throwing shade at her Marvel character: ‘I’m on their side’
Jameela Jamil has once again addressed fans who thought she was being let down by the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The actor will play villain Titania in the upcoming Disney+ series She-Hulk.
When first-look pictures of Jameela Jamil’s character were released showing her looking dishevelled, fans were concerned that she’d been left to play in the bad wig box.
In response, Jamil tweeted: “Guys… I accept every ounce of shade here, but in defence of my excellent hair stylist, this is just my hair after a 14-hour stunt day in Atlanta heat. Just after being upside down. She did a *great* job on the show I promise. I love her. Boobs look ok tho?”

Jameela Jamil was asked about the wig saga after a Marvel San Diego Comic-Con panel on 23 July.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: “I love the Marvel fan base. I respect them, and I was merely making sure that they knew that I was with them.
“I was reassuring them. I’m on their side. And so I never mind any criticism or feedback. As long as it isn’t done in a cruel or toxic way, I’m with the Marvel fan base when they push for more – I’m into it.”
The Good Place actor is a vocal advocate for women’s rights on her social media. Speaking at Comic-Con about how that interacts with her new She-Hulk role, Jamil said: “Some people online think I am a villain.
“Being a woman is a bit like being Batman. Die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain.
“I feel all women feel that way, we are only given so long before we are just demonised so it’s nice to just come straight out the gate as a bad person.
“This character embodies the antithesis of everything I stand for and all these things that I fight against I get to play and embody in her.”
She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, starring Jameela Jamil and Tatiana Maslany, airs on Disney+ from 17 August.
