Kehlani joins The L Word: Generation Q and fans can’t handle it: ‘Boss level gay’
Kehlani is adding actor to their resume as they join season three of The L Word: Generation Q.
TV network Showtime revived the ground-breaking series The L Word in 2019, with sequel series Generation Q taking place 10 years after the original finale.
The reboot follows characters played by Jennifer Beals, Katherine Moennig, and Leisha Hailey as they navigate love, life and their careers – and now, the talented cast has a new addition.
Kehlani shared the exciting news in a post on their Instagram on Wednesday (27 July).
“From binging [The L Word] to guest starring… See you for Season 3!” Kehlani gushed.
Fans took to Kehlani’s comment to congratulate them.
“New LWORD character ? unlocked” one fan said.

Kehlani came out as a lesbian in April 2021, having previously described themself as queer.
“I’m just going to f**king say it, because everyone keeps bringing it up today… Well, it’s f**king true. I am gay, g-gay, gay, gay,” they announced in a TikTok video.
The singer describes themself as being “on the non-binary scale”, and uses they/she pronouns.
“I don’t mind when people say ‘she’ at all, but something feels really affirming when people say ‘they.’ It feels like… you really see me,” Kehlani said in December 2021.
The L Word: Generation Q Season 3 is expected to premiere late 2022.
