Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs the World unveils cast with UK queens and returning All Stars

The horrifically titled Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs the World has unveiled its cast of queens.
Following on from early 2022’s Drag Race UK vs The World, the new series will see Canada play host to nine returning legends from around the world.
The season features a contestant from Drag Race Down Under, a couple of UK huns, and even a past winner from the Canada’s Drag Race franchise. Now that’s true, north strong and fierce.
Here’s what you need to know about the official cast for Canada’s Drag Race vs The World.
Anita Wig’lit (Drag Race Down Under, season one)
Anita sashayed away in eighth place from Down Under‘s first season, but won over fans and the unofficial title of Miss Congeniality.
She’s the only queen representing Oz this season, but is determined not to let that stop her.
“My plan is to pretend that I’m really nice to everyone … that’s called manipulation,” said Anita. Can anyone else hear Shangela talking about Game of Thrones again?
Icesis Couture (Canada’s Drag Race, season two winner)
Icesis is following the footsteps of Bebe Zahara Benet and, well, the entire cast of All Stars 7, by returning to fight for a second crown.
She won Canada’s Drag Racee season two, but has something left to prove after sweeping the crown with iconic runway looks and equally captivating lip-syncs.
“I already took over Canada once… now it’s time to take over the world,” Icesis said.
Kendall Gender (Canada, season two)
One of the famed ‘Brat Pack’, Kendall narrowly missed out on Icesis’s crown in her season, placing runner-up.
That alone should prove an interesting dynamic – will the two be Canadian friendly? Or icy cold? Either way, the bodysuit queen is back.
“I was so close to snatching that crown the last time, and I can feel it. This is my house,” said Kendall. So take your shoes off!
Ra’Jah O’Hara (Drag Race season 11 and All Stars 6)
Ra’Jah is back for round three after gaining her rudemption in All Stars 6 (following the dreaded villain edit and ninth place on her original season).
She lost the All Stars crown to Kylie Sonique Love as a runner-up, but could now be the time for a purple reign – even if she’s being judged by previous fellow season nine competitor Brooke Lynn Hytes.
“I’m back, fully realised, fully confident and ready to take on that crown, honey,” said Ra’Jah. We love to see it.
Rita Baga (Canada, season one)
Yet another runner-up joins the cast in the form of runway killer, hot dog lover, alien actress taking over, Rita Baga.
After losing Canada’s Drag Race’s season one to Priyanka, could Rita have it in the bag(a) this time?
“I plan to play fair with the other queens, I can’t wait to hug a new sister and then stab her in the back,” she said. Whatever happened to Canadians being nice?
Silky Nutmeg Ganache (Drag Race season 11 and All Stars 6)
The Doctor Reverend Silky Nutmeg Ganache might have placed 11th on All Stars run, but she produced one of the most iconic episodes of the entire franchise when she almost lip-synced her way back into the top five.
That season was the second time she’d competed against Ra’Jah O’Hara twice, so there seems a sure alliance to be had.
“I was a loser, twice! And they just keep bringing me back! But now, I’m gonna take over the world,” she said. We can see why, Big Silk with the good milk.
Stephanie Prince (Canada, season two)
Miss Prince placed 10th on her original season, but fans fell in love with her runway looks and charming personality.
Could this season see her snatch the crown from her fellow drag legends – two of whom have already beaten her once?
“I’m here to bring the looks, the polish, the mug, the hair, the personality and also the talent, cuz duh,” she said. Need she say more?
Vanity Milan (Drag Race UK season three)
Our first UK hun is here: lip-sync assassin Vanity Milan is back to slay another day.
Making it to the top four of Drag Race UK, she wowed viewers with her disco diva dance skills and infectious personality.
Will it be Vanity joining UK vs the World winner Blu Hydrangea in the hall of fame?
“I’m the baddest. I’m full of fight. I’m a f**king good dancer. Period,” she said. Honestly, points just for the Choriza May reference, Vanity!
Victoria Scone (Drag Race UK season three)
Topping off the cast list is Victoria Scone, the first and to date only cis woman to enter the werk room on Drag Race.
She was sent home on season three of the UK edition by her very own knee (talk about inner saboteur). Before injury knocked her out she was considered the one to beat, winning the first challenge of the season, so she’s sure to be taking the same fight across the pond.
“I’m here to show you what you missed – and you missed just about everything! My strategy is never to bottom – I’m a top, dear,” said Victoria. It’s certainly tea time, Miss Scone!
Canada’s Drag Race vs the World will premiere on BBC Three in the UK on 19 November.
The show will also be available internationally on streamer of all things drag, WOW Presents Plus.
