I’m A Celeb: Boy George denies bullying Matt Hancock and calls out ‘sly b***hing’

Boy George has said that he didn’t want to “bully” Matt Hancock while he was on I’m A Celebrity… Get me Out Of Here.
The Culture Club singer was the fourth to be eliminated from the I’m A Celeb jungle, and his time on the show was not without its drama.
As well as facing backlash over his criminal past, Boy George caused tensions in the camp upon the arrival of Matt Hancock.
From the beginning Boy George made clear that he was not happy with the former health secretary joining the show, sharing that he could not visit his ill mother over the pandemic. Hancock notoriously broke lockdown rules to engage in an affair.
He told fellow contestants that he thought Hancock was “slimy” and “tried to like him but [has] failed”.
Many thought it rich that the singer, who was jailed for false imprisonment and assault, took the moral high ground – though some who enjoyed his condemnation of the MP were disappointed when his resolve appeared to crumble towards the end.
When one Twitter user said: “He’s my MP George, I was willing you to say more to him”, he replied: “Not everything is broadcast! I said plenty but in the end I did not want bully Matt.
“He will not complain about me because I behaved like an adult. There is zero issue between us. That might disappoint some but I have no regrets about anything. I’m not five years old!:)”

He went on to clarify he “treated [Hancock] with absolute respect” and he even “appreciated my directness”.
Before his elimination Boy George appeared to resolve his issues with Hancock, saying his anger was his own problem and apologising.
He said Hancock “is just a person, he mucked in and was really doing a lot to help everyone”.
He added: “There was lots of sly b***hing about Matt Hancock but I told him to stand up for himself.”
