Jill Scott has won the hearts of the nation during her time on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, crushing multiple challenges and opening up about life with her partner Shelly Unitt.

The retired England Lioness footballer, 35, has had viewers in stitches when poking fun at Matt Hancock and impressed viewers by taking on her fear of heights, yet fans saw another side to Scott whenever she spoke about Shelly.

Earlier on in the season, Scott had the chance to read a heartwarming letter from her partner, with fans of the show left welling up.

The letter read: “Hi Jill it’s Shelly, I love you and miss you so much. There isn’t a minute that goes by where you’re not on my mind. I love you so much and now the rest of the world does too.

“This is because you’re such a great person with your positive, kind and encouraging self. I’ll have a flat white waiting for you, love your biggest fans, Shelly, Evie and Hattie.”

Shelly arrived in Australia as soon as the I’m A Celebrity eliminations started to happen, and will almost certainly be the one to run up and hug Jill when she exits the jungle.

The coffee shop, which opened in April 2021 and is co-owned with Scott, is currently decked out in jungle attire with ‘Vote Jill’ scribbled across the windows. There’s also a permanent portrait of Scott and her signature on one of the walls.

Jill isn’t the only Lioness in Shelly Unitt’s life — her sister Rachel Unitt also played women’s football on the international stage.

Before retiring, Rachel represented England in the UEFA Women’s Championships in 2001, 2005 and 2009, as well in the Women’s World Cup in 2007 and 2011. Sadly, an injury kept her Rachel out of the 2013 UEFA Championship and the 2012 Olympics, and she has since become a firefighter.

Shelly Unitt and Jill Scott have been together for approximately six years, with the pair announcing their engagement back in March 2020.

The pair don’t currently have any children together, but Shelly is a mother to two daughters, Evie, 19, and Hattie, 15, who she referred to in the letter she sent Jill during her time in the jungle.

Unitt has been incredibly supportive of Scott, be it while she’s in the jungle or on the pitch, frequently uploading photos and supportive messages to her Instagram page.

After Scott announced her retirement from football following her mammoth success at the Women’s Euros earlier this year, Unitt wrote on Instagram: “You truly are a legend! Anyone is lucky to know @jillscottjs8 but I’m the luckiest to spend the rest of my life with her.

“I cant wait to have more time together and complete life plan and dreams. Love you!! So onto the next chapter…”

Unitt arrived in Australia earlier this week (17 Nov) donning a ‘Team Jill’ jumper and telling The Sun how “proud” she is of the star.

She also explained how Jill’s tenure in the jungle is benefiting their coffee shop back home, telling the paper: “My goodness me, the vibe is huge in Manchester and it is getting crazier and crazier at the coffee shop we own, which is good thing for us as a business.

“When Jill is in the shop she likes to muck in and make the drinks.

“We are selling hoodies with Vote Jill and profits will go to our chosen charity.”
