RuPaul’s Drag Race star Bosco sparks eye-opening debate about anal sex: ‘Sides, this is our time!’

RuPaul’s Drag Race season 14 finalist Bosco has sent gay Twitter into meltdown by starting an eye-opening debate about anal sex.
Getting her controversial thoughts out into the open, Bosco tweeted: “I think we as a community are lying about how much we enjoy anal,” essentially reaffirming 2022 as the year of the side.
A side refers to LGBTQ+ people who don’t tend to like sex that is all about topping or bottoming, instead enjoying everything in between.
The term has gained prominence this year since Grindr added it as a sexual preference option.
Of course, fellow Drag Race stars were quick to chime in on both sides of the argument, with season 13 favourite Kandy Muse tweeting: “SIDES THIS IS OUR TIME.”
Fellow trans icon of season 14 Kerri Colby added her eloquent take, writing: “Facts. It’s kind of like a d**k’s last resort, or [whatever] the saying is.”
Not all Drag Race stars were in agreement, though, with Bosco’s season 14 sister Daya Betty replying: “Because we don’t enjoy it, we LOVE it,” and lip-sync assassin Denali simply adding: “L tweet” (i.e. loser tweet).
Jokes aside, the LGBTQs of the Twittersphere did actually start a nuanced discussion on the history of anal sex, porn and the dreadful lack of sex education available for LGBTQ+ people.
“I think porn and the gay community make anal seem like a walk in the park. That you can do it anywhere at any time with no consequences. When the reality is starkly different,” one person shared.
Another said: “Bottoms serve an oscar worthy performance at the anal scenes in porn, like it’s the best feeling in the world, when it’s not!”
“I think as a community there are a lot of misconceptions and misinformation. Personally the only hang up I have is the prep but once you have a good routine/diet it shouldn’t take too long,” another added.
Many added their twopence to the argument by simply expressing their undying and NSFW love for anal sex, suggesting that when it’s done right, it’s done right.
