Mean Girls

The musical, based on the iconic film of the same name, will debut at the Savoy Theatre from June 2024.
It’ll mark its UK premiere, featuring songs including “Meet the Plastics”, “I’d Rather Be Me”, “World Burn” and “Revenge Party”.
2024 will also see the release of the film adaption of the musical, which stars Renee Rapp as Regina George, a role she also played on Broadway.
Burlesque

The stage version of Burlesque is having its world premiere in the UK in 2024. This will be at Manchester’s Opera House from 13 June ahead of its West End run.
Based on the 2010 film of the same name starring Christina Aguilera and Cher, it follows a small-town girl named Ali Rose who moves to Los Angeles and stumbles upon a struggling burlesque lounge owned by Tess.
Starlight Express

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Starlight Express is returning to London’s West End in 2024 with brand new staging.
He says the show is “going to be around you, the seats will move, it’s going to be a completely new experience.”
The show, which is about a child’s train set that comes to life and competes to become the fastest engine in the world, is famously performed on roller skates.
Cabaret

You can still catch the hugely popular revival of Cabaret at the Kit Kat Klub at the Playhouse in 2024.
It currently stars Jake Shears and Self Esteem as the Emcee and Sally Bowles, with new casting expected to be announced early next year.

I Should Be So Lucky

Dear Evan Hansen

The Tony Award-winning musical follows Evan Hansen who struggles to connect with a hyper-connected world.
He invents a friendship with a boy in a misguided attempt to comfort a grieving family, fabricating email chains as proof. When this spirals out of control, Evan becomes the face of a viral video about loneliness, and the importance of speaking out.
It’s going on tour for the first time in 2024 running into 2025, visiting venues across the UK.
Frozen

Frozen the Musical recently confirmed its extending its West End run until summer 2024, so there’s still plenty of time to catch the live spectacular.
The Tony Award-nominated show features songs from Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who also wrote the soundtrack for the Oscar-winning 2013 film and its sequel including “Let It Go” and “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?”.
The story is similar to the film version as it takes audiences to the magical world of Arendelle and follows sisters Anna and Elsa. Elsa is gifted with ice-manipulating powers but after tensions arise she runs away from home and it’s up to Anna to bring her back and save Arendelle.
Wicked

In 2024, Wicked will continue its record-breaking run at the Apollo Victoria Theatre until at least June, as well as embarking on a UK tour.
The show will stop off in the likes of Edinburgh, Liverpool, Bristol, Sunderland and Manchester across the year.
The award-winning West End and Broadway musical tells the untold story of the Witches of Oz, Elphaba and Glinda (with a film version starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande coming in 2024).

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie

The feel-good musical – inspired by a true story – follows Jamie New, a teenager living on a council estate in Sheffield. He doesn’t quite fit in and he’s terrified about the future, but he knows he’s going to be a star and with support from his mum and friends he overcomes prejudice to step into the spotlight.
Six the Musical

This breakout hit musical follows the six wives of the infamous Henry VIII who take to the stage to tell their stories in a pop concert inspired by some of the biggest modern day artists.
The show features the likes of Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn and Jane Seymour who tell their story against the backdrop of songs including “Don’t Lose Ur Head”, “Get Down” and “All You Wanna Do”.
Sister Act

Sister Act the Musical is back for 2024, with a headline UK tour, stopping off in Glasgow, Brighton, Manchester and Liverpool and also playing on the West End between March and August.
The London run will see Beverly Knight and Alexandra Burke alternate as Deloris Van Cartier, and they’ll be joined by Ruth Jones, who will play Mother Superior.
Moulin Rouge! The Musical

The 10-time Tony Award winning musical will continue its run at the Piccadilly Theatre until at least May 2024.
Based on the 2001 film of the same name, it weaves together original songs with popular music including anthems “Toxic”, “Bad Romance” and of course “Lady Marmalade”.
The story is set at the turn of the 20th century during the Belle Epoque, in the Montmartre Quarter of Paris and follows Christian, a young composer who falls in love with cabaret actress Satine.
& Juliet

After a West End run, & Juliet will now head across the UK for its first ever tour in 2024 and 2025.
The musical features some of the biggest pop hits of the last three decades from songwriter Max Martin including “…Baby One More Time”, “Since U Bene Gone”, “Roar” and “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)”.
The show follows the “what if?” story of Juliet from Shakespeare’s famous play as she wakes up instead of having a dagger to the heart and chooses her own fate. She gathers Nurse and her best friends and heads to the city of lights to prove there is life and love after Romeo.
The Book of Mormon

In 2024 smash-hit musical The Book of Mormon will tour the UK, with dates planned in Birmingham, Edinburgh and Manchester.
While theatregoers can also book tickets for the show on the West End until at least April 2024, where it will be running at the Prince of Wales Theatre.
It’s penned by the creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and the co-creator of Avenue Q, Robert Lopez and has become a global hit.
Mrs. Doubtfire

It was announced that Mrs. Doubtfire the musical would be extending its run until at least September 2024 on the West End – and releasing more tickets.
So there’s plenty of time to catch the hit show, which follows out-of-work actor Danny who creates the alter ego of Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire to stay in his kids’ lives.
Hamilton

Hamilton is currently on its first ever UK tour, which is running in Manchester until February 2024 and will head to Edinburgh in late February and Bristol in April.
Plus you can also still catch the show on London’s West End at the Victoria Palace Theatre, with bookings open until at least October 2024.
The musical tells the story of America’s Founding Fathers, is notable for featuring non-white actors as historical figures as a way to weave the tale of “America then, as told by America now” as well as drawing heavily from hip-hop, soul and R&B in its soundtrack.
Come From Away

Smash-hit musical Come From Away will tour across the UK and Ireland for the first time ever.
The national tour will begin on 1 March at the Leicester Curve, before heading to the likes of Cardiff, Leeds, Birmingham and Belfast.
Throughout 2024 the production will visit venues in Newcastle, Bristol, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The musical is based on the events in the Newfoundland town of Gander during the week following the September 11 attacks, when 38 planes, carrying approximately 7,000 passengers, were ordered to land unexpectedly at Gander International Airport.
Pretty Woman

Following a run in the West End, the stage production of Pretty Woman the Musical is heading to venues across the UK in 2024. This includes Liverpool, York, Manchester, Edinburgh and Birmingham.
The UK tour run will star Amber Davies as Vivian, Ore Oduba as Happy Man/Mr Thompson and Oliver Savile as Edward.
Shrek

Shrek the Musical is touring across the UK in 2024, led by theatre legend Antony Lawrence in the title role and Strictly Joanne Clifton as Princess Fiona.
